Got frustrated last night and wiped the machine(5yrs gone)
format reinstalled 2 times (1st time failed to fix the access to the hda)
after more than 12 hours of work, its almost back to pre update stage
(note to self....Never do dnf update after install when the machine is working)
Thank you for your time and effort into looking at this problem for me, I really appreciate all the time you put into this for us.
