Hello All,
I installed amahi for the first time. I am seeing some issues with ipv6 as below:
1. I am using a modem router combo from netgear model : c3700-NAS.
2. Unfortunately, there is no way to disable ipv6 in my modem router combo settings accessed via http://www.routerlogin.net.
3. I have disabled DHCP on my router & have verified that DHCP is off in the router. Also, my clients windows 7 machine & a mac book pro are using HDA DNS. These clients are connected via WIFI.
4. After all this I was able to access my hda dashboard via my HDA ip & not via http://hda/ . This means DNS was not resolving domain names somehow.
5. Looking at the internet settings on my clients I noticed that in DNS settings I have 4 IP's first 2 were ipv4 addresses & they were my hda IP's, but the remaining 2 were ipv6 addresses.
6. I turned off Ipv6 on my windows 7 machine from the adapter settings & surprisingly I was able to access my dashboard via. http://hda/.

After looking at this I have few questions,
1. Does amahi support ipv6 dns addresses. If no, then I will have to figure out where the 2 ipv6 address came up in the dns settings ?
2. Also does that mean I will have to keep ipv6 off on my client machines to access HDA ? or I did something wrong while transitioning to HDA phase ?

Thanks.

Simple answer is Amahi does not support IPV6 currently. It only works with IPV4.

Sorry we hope to one day but not sure when it will be.
