I run a few virtual boxes on my HDA since it has the horsepower. Sometimes I would like to access these remotely. For that to work, I need to open up a port. The default is 3389 but it is easy to change that setup in virtualbox. How would I go about opening up a port on an HDA? I'm running version 7 on Fedora 19.

I think this is something that needs done in Virtualbox.

There are many ports open on the HDA, so shouldn't have to worry about that bit.

I think some ports are closed by default. Perhaps that is Fedora not really Amahi? Anyway an nmap scan of my HDA shows this;

If Amahi is not specifically locking down ports, then I suppose I can follow any tutorial or guide on opening up ports on Fedora 19. I just wanted to be sure that I was not compromising some security that your team has put in place. My HDA is the backbone of my house, I would not want to break it right now!

That is correct, ports are controlled by the OS, Fedora 19 in this case. Opening up ports should not have any affect on Amahi as long as you don't use any currently allocated to Amahi.
