SOLVED: stuck on interactive t-shooter step 4

Postby theyoungsdotca » Wed Dec 31, 2014 9:16 am

I'm running Amahi 7 32 bit and am having some DNS issues.

Ran the interactive troubleshooter http://www.amahi.net/amahi7interactive.html but got stuck on step 4.

When I run

Code: Select all

nslookup hda
I get a "Segmentation fault" error.

Please let me know how this can be corrected so I can continue troubleshooting. Thanks in advance.

details on my nslookup install are below

You might need to do an OS update for security patches. Have you attempted this yet? What is your current issue that led you to use the network troubleshooter?

Thanks so much.

No, I've not yet updated my OS. I'll go ahead and do that & update this thread with the results.

I have DNS issues which I'm trying to resolve. The other devices on my LAN are getting an IP from my HDA's DHCP server but not any DNS info.

I've put in all the Fedora 19 updates & nslookup is working now.

Thanks again, bigfoot65
