I currently run a FreeNAS server, but am considering changing to Amahi since Amahi supports wireless networking?
My question is, can I use Amahi as a server wirelessly (no hard line), to serve files to my other 802.11ac computers and stream movies from Amahi wirelessly to my 802.11ac-enabled HTPC?
Thanks!
PS: Is is safe to assume that if Fedora or Ubuntu has a driver for the wireless 802.11ac card, that it would work with Amahi?
802.11AC Wireless with Amahi?
Re: 802.11AC Wireless with Amahi?
Possibly but unsupported. Amahii requires a hard wired connection. Setup will most likely fail without a wired connection.
Making it wireless after install requires advanced Linux experience. Servers are intended to be hard wired.
