What program/service controls the dynamic updating in CP?

My question is pretty simple and straightforward. What program or service on the Amahi home server handles dynamic updating to Amahi.org's Control Panel? To my knowledge, I haven't made any changes that would "break" this, however in my Control Panel, it shows Stopped and an old IP Address.

it's the hda-ctl service. to restart it, reboot, or as root: systemctl restart hda-ctl

a number of things could interfere with dyndns updates -- a distro upgrade, breakage in the system, mysql tables, etc.
