I need to connect my HDA/ machine to an outside VPN so all traffic goes through.

I am using Fedora 19, but is this below an example of what I should do?
Is installing a openvpn server like this correct or is there another, better and or easier way ?

How about installing the OpenVPN app from the Amahi store?

Anybody?

This must be a common issue.

You must have patience. It's only been 2 days.

As for what you are asking, why do you need to use an external VPN provider when Amahi provides VPN access to your HDA?

First, "anybody" was not directed towards you. While you answer 99% of the issues here I was hoping that others had this issue.

Second, simple answer. When I am online I use a proxy to protect and hid my traffic. I want to connect my network to a proxy server to hide and protect all my Amahi traffic i.e., transmission, sickbeard, etc. etc.

This has nothing to do with my connecting into my HDA.

I guess I can very easily connect the HDA hosting computer manually to the VPN. Was just asking/hoping there was Amahi -way of doing it.

Please don't misunderstand my intent. I know you were being general with the comment. I just wanted to say that it may take a while to get an answer as the forums are not as busy lately with the community.

I was in no way offended or meant to offend you.

I now better understand what you are asking. Unfortunately I am unsure if there is a simple answer. Maybe someone else in the community can jump in and assist.

Sorry I cannot help more with this one.

Ok, no problem.

Short term I will try to connect Fedora using the suggested method from the provider manually and see how it goes.

Thanks.

No worries.

If you are successful, might be something good for the wiki. Would you be willing to contribute the details for others to benefit?

The NeoRouter wiki guidance might be of interest.
