OpenDNS Updater for Dynamic Address?

I'm too cheap get a static address so have to deal with a dynamic address. I use the OpenDNS content filtering to (try and stop) my sons getting into the habit of 24hr p*rn. Prior to running by Amahi Server I used the OpenDNS updater on a PC I use every day to make sure the dynamic address is updated to my OpenDNS account. Its not clever nor foolproof but simple. Now I have my Amahi server if occured to me it should be easy to have the Amahi server update this periodically. There is a Linux version https://support.opendns.com/entries/23554765 so I'll have to expand my limited Linux expertise to get this running periodically. Ho about adding this to Amahi to make it easier for people with Dynamic IP addresses to use the OpenDNS content filtering?

Recommend you file a bug report as a feature request if that does not meet your needs. The forums is not a good place to request new features.

Also if this is an easy thing to install on Linux, you could add guidance to the wiki. We have many tutorials there on how to do things outside the default Amahi install.

Yes, I saw the info about how to update openDNS on a dd-WRT router but I don't use one (well I do but its a long story). Also I do have a DNS-O-Matic account.

I'll try and install the Linux OpenDNS updater and will advise if its successful.

Sounds good. If you can capture the steps, would be a good tutorial for the wiki.
