Having a little bit of a problem with Amahi 7 taking over both of my network cards. I did some searching in the forums and it seems that prior to Amahi 7 the server would only take over eth0. Well i am currently using F19 Amahi 7 and dont have eth0. I currently have em1 and p2p1.
At the moment they are both assigned 192.168.x.10. All i am trying to do is tell the secondary Nic to be either dhcp or i would even be happy with making that one static with a different ip address. The only problem is that i dont see any network scripts inside ot /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-****
There are plenty of up/down scripts but nothing for my two interfaces. Is Amahi 7 assigning the static ip address in a different manor that i am not seeing?
I understand what i am trying to do may not be supported but i figured if it worked before there might be a way to get it to work again. Any help or even a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
SOLVED: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
The only simple way I can see for this one is disable one card prior to install. Then once it's done and running, enable it.
There is guidance in the wiki for post-install hardware changes that should allow you to add it back into Fedora 19.
Not sure if there is a simple solution for where you are at now.

Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
Thanks for the suggestion. Its a good idea for the future, but i finally have my server up and running just the way i want/like it so i dont think i will be going that route at the moment. I may end up just saying o well in the end but thought it was worth a shot.
Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
Understand. I am sure there is a way, but I don't have the experience to provide the solution. There may be someone who does or maybe even google.
This might be a Fedora thing too. If you can find the command line tool for changing IP addresses assigned to a network card, that might help.

Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
I had actually looked online (nixcraft, fedora forums, etc.) and found a way to do it through ifconfig but i didn't want to make any changes that way just in case it would cause an issue with some other kind of amahi setting. I may end up just trying it tonight and it it causes any issues i will just use ifconfig to change it back. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I will post back on any results i find to help anyone else along the way.

Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
I was able to assign a static ip address to the secondary network card. My initial issue was that there was no script so i just created the file. /etc/sys.../netwo-sc.../em1
i followed the guide here for the basic settings for assigning a static ip. http://danielgibbs.co.uk/2013/01/fedora ... p-address/
My initial issue wasn't the ability to assign a static IP address but rather there was no file in the location i was expecting so i assumed it was moved based on an Amahi change. Hope this helps others.

Re: Amahi 7 - two Network Cards
So I presume we can consider this resolved.
