Remote Desktop to computers behind server

Is it possible to RDP into computers which are behind the server using the windows Remote Desktop client? This is so I can access these computers using the URL (xxx.yourhda.com). I'm aware you can port forward TCP3389, but it would be infinitely more convenient if I could simply use something like the host name, or internal address (xxx.home.com). This would allow me to access more than one computer, which is obviously desirable. I believe what I need is akin to a Remote Desktop Gateway server, but this is obviously only available for MS Server 2008, and most definitely not for Linux!

Ordinarily, I could simply VPN into the network, but I would like to be able to access the network computers using a shared work PC, and on which I cannot set up a VPN connection. As mentioned in another topic my Apps-proxy seems to have stopped working, and hence I would need to RDP in to access my apps.

Many Thanks.

Not sure that is possible.

VPN is the only way I am aware to access other systems from the HDA remotely. I am not even sure if that works as I have never tried it.

Thanks for your post.

I have been able to VPN in and RDP to comps on the network very successfully. It is a shame I cannot access the apps through my proxy any longer as those were very useful!

It looks like I'll just have to have a different listening port for each PC I want to RDP into, and then forward 3389 to the PC in question.

Thanks Again.
