I have trouble configuring my HDA. I like to add the application Jinzora but I can not select it from the amahi apps. Running the network troubleshooter I got this advice.
Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4 - DNS resolving for internal hostnames. Here's a paste to help troubleshoot: http://sprunge.us/PNHj
Is there anyone that can advice/help me on how to proceed? Because I can not resolve this myself.

can not reach apps from hda home page
Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Is this a new install? What OS? Is your HDA serving as DHCP/DNS server? Did you refresh the IP on your client? Need more details.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Hello Bigfoot,
Thanks for the quick reply.
- Is this a new install?
No I had it running for a couple of weeks now. However not really used it as a media server yet. I was tied up in selecting a streaming application and I decided to use Jinzora. I wanted to install that via the HDA desktop. Then I got the problem that I can no longer select any apps.
- What OS?
Ubuntu 12.04
- Is your HDA serving as DHCP/DNS server?
No HDA is no DHCP server but DNS server I left untouched. Since I am new to this I did not want to move the DHCP service to HDA because I have a lot of devices attached to my LAN which must be accessible. I used the tutorial described within Amahi to turn DHCP off.
- Did you refresh the IP on your client?
Yes. Several times already. However I also tried it from the HDA machine which I gave a static IP adres. The problem occurred on both machines.
I posted the output from the Network Troubleshooter already.
Is there any other info I can provide?

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Status in Amahi Control Panel still says Waiting Install.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Please check the install log to see if there are any errors. Also can you access the HDA via IP address? I presume your amahi.org profile has the applicable IP addresses for your HDA and gateway.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
I looked in the /var/log/ directory and there are a lot of log files. Assuming you ment the following files
amahi-app-installer.log - No errors
amahi-sync.log - A sync error that repeats itself "130630-211258-546810: waking up and doing a full sync
rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender]
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(605) [sender=3.0.9]
130630-211317-172672: sync ended with exit status: 12
130630-211320-190451: sync errors found - sleeping to check later "
hda-updates.log - No errors
Via the ip-adres the HDA can be reached without any problem.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Check to see if your clients are using the HDA IP for DNS. If not, you can either add it to your router settings and refresh the IP, or just turn off the router DHCP server and let the HDA do it.
That is most likely your issue as clients need to see the HDA for DNS or apps will not work.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
I tried 2 clients. one is an android smartphone which could access the HDA via the IP adres. The other one is a laptop using windows 7 which also could access the HDA via the ip adres.
My problem is that I can not selelect any more apps from amahi and that it just returns the message
"There are no applications available at this time.
This could be due to a lack of network connectivity."
Any ideas?

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
Check that your router is using DNS from the HDA. If you use the HDA for both DHCP and DNS, it's simpler. Otherwise your router will need to be configured to point to the HDA for DNS.

Re: can not reach apps from hda home page
I changed the first DNS server on my router to point to my HDA. Then I restarted the router. This did not resolve my problem.
