Calendar has dissapeared

I cannot find the calendar.
Shouldn't it be on the front page, or at least among the applications for install?
It was before...I just can not find it in my current installation.
Is it just me or?

yes, it was voted down in a round of simplification.

however, it has not been transitioned to an app yet.
