I am having a small problem in that when I use Amahi as my DHCP server instead of my router the remote app refuses to find my XBMC box even if I enter the IP and MAC address.

I am certain my network just needs configuring but I would appreciate your help in explaining how to do this.

Did you set the ip address of the XBMC box as static.
I have a similar situation, but had no troubles.
