Upgrade NIC, Can't Delete old device eth1

Postby coolstone » Sun Jul 15, 2012 8:14 pm

Hey folks,

I recently upgraded NIC with Realtek R8169 Gig network adapter, and had some problems. But later I disabled the onboard 10/100 card, and changed the new NIC as eth0. Now the network works very well in Gig speed. But I do have a problem:

There is two devices listed under "Network Configuration-Devices": eth0 and eth1. But only one listed in "Network Configuration-Hardware" - eth0 - the new NIC Realtek. I think the eth1 should not be there under "Devices" since I already disable it in BIOS.

How can I delete it?

Many thanks!

Of course.

And there is no button to click to delete device. The Delete button is gray.
