Using a VPN service with my HDA

Postby flickeringsight » Thu May 10, 2012 6:58 pm

I want to use a VPN service like Tunnelr with HDA box, but can't get it configured because of the way Amahi manages network connections.

Tunnelr has a convenient download of all the config files so you only need to open them in the Network Connections control panel. However, in order for that to work NetworkManager must manage the connections, which it doesn't under Amahi. And activating NetworkManager only results in it's automatic deactivation upon restart of the box.

So, how do I get this set up, Amahi-ers?

Not sure if you can. Is there a reason why you cannot use the built in VPN service? If you need access from a mobile device, you might consider this one.

I'm afraid you've misunderstood me. I do not want to connect to the server from another device. I want the server to connect, via it's own client, to a third party VPN service.
