Your log indicates HTTP server has stopped. Have you tried restarting it?

Hi, we worked on the related problem late last year but I still have the same problem.

I tried enabling/disabling and starting/stopping the HTTP Server via Fedora's System/Admin/Services. Initial state was in fact Enable/Stopped. It wouldn't start so I disabled it then re-enabled it but it's stuck on "This service is enabled - This service is being refreshed right now" ie. Not Started.

I don't know another way to force it.

Try doing it from command line and not the dashboard.

Code: Select all

service httpd start
What version of Fedora are you using? Is this a modified install? Was it Fedora Full DVD or Express CD? Did you modify anything manually?

This is what I got. Overall, nothing unusual for two years for standard install until the failed Ampache upgrade.

HTTP Start

[root@server john]# service httpd start

Check the /etc/httpd/conf.d sub directory for potentially bad .conf files. I have seen conf files that should have been removed stop it from running. If you see any that look out of place, rename them to .bak and try restarting httpd.

Also, was there any modification to the apache .conf files?

Thanks that did it. Nothing looked bad per sebut I renamed 1001-Ampache.conf to .bak then started http successfully. My dashboard is back.

Next step is to reinstall Ampache the correct way.

Awesome. I would remove that .conf file as a new one will be generated when you install Ampache.

All is good now. I'm listening to U2 on Ampache via the Amdroid client on a Samsung tablet.

Thanks I learned a lot.

PS I live about 15 mins from GB aka pommepause in Montreal.
