IP Cop and Amahi DHCP

Does any one have a set up with IP Cop and Amahi?
Currently I have IP Cop as my router and i am in the process of installing Amahi.
My question is if I turn off IP Cops DHCP would Amahi would take over instantly?
or
Will it work?
