Zarafa
Zarafa
I just installed Zarafa (http://www.zarafa.com) on my HDA running fedora 14. It is basically a linux exchange server. My problem is that I am supposed to be able to access its web interface through http://localhost/webaccess. When I do this, I get redirected to my HDA log in page. Any ideas. I have been through error log after error log and apache config file after apache config file. I think it may have to do with virtual hosts? Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Zarafa
I have messed with this one a bit and had it accessible, but I did not have an exchange server. What you need to do is create a web app as outlined in this tutirial:
http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Webapps
It is best to put all the app files in the /var/hda/web-apps/appname/html dir as that is where the web app link will point. You can add an option to the .conf file for it as follows if needed:
RedirectPermanent / http://localhost/webapp
I believe I actually had it working with http://zarafa when I tried a while back. Hope this helps.

Re: Zarafa
Okay so I now have it working so when I navigate to zarafa.localhost.com on the HDA itself. But when I try to get to it from a local machine, which loads hda.localhost.com fine, it says it cannot find the server. Any ideas?
*Just figured out it is working on all of the wireless clients, but not the one connected via ethernet. Any ideas why this would affect it?

Re: Zarafa
Could you please detail the process as to how you were able to get Zarafa working as a web-app? I keep getting taken to the Amahi Dashboard also and have so far been unsuccessful at getting it to run as a web app. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ted

Re: Zarafa
Any app running on port 80 often has problems in Amahi. Basically you have to create the web app as previous posts indicate, then point to that location.
I have not messed with this one in quite some time, so it might be a bit complicated to get it working. If I have time in the near future, I will try to create an Amahi app. If I can get it working, then I can give you access to test.

Re: Zarafa
That would be great if you get the time! Until then I will continue hammering away at this thing to see if I can even get it running. I used these directions to install it directly into Fedora 14 and that's where I got the conflict with the url "localhost/webaccess" taking me to the Amahi Dashboard:
yum install zarafa zarafa-webaccess
Configure MySQL in /etc/zarafa/server.cfg
service zarafa-server start
service zarafa-gateway start
service zarafa-spooler start
zarafa-admin -s
zarafa-admin -c tux -e tux@localhost -f "Zarafa Tester" -p MyPassword
service httpd restart
Go to http://localhost/webaccess and login with "tux" and "MyPassword"
I have tried replicating the above installation instructions into a web-app I created using Amahi, but so far only get directories with files in them when attempting to access the web-app's url.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Zarafa
Yea that's the problem, typical install instructions will not work with Amahi unless it runs on a port other than 80. I don't recall using the RPMs, but I might be mistaken.
If it is possible to change the port it runs on, you can make a small change to a .conf file in Amahi and it will work. Might be worth checking the internet to see if there is a way to make it accessible via port 81 or maybe even 443.
It will be a while before I get a change to try it, but I will let you know when I do get something.
