Getting data from Server slow

Hello,
I don't know if it is a Amahi Server problem or a Hardware problem, but i will try to explain what's going on.
In fact, when i try to copy one or more files from my Amahi Server to my Machine, the copy process is very slow. But if i copy data from my Machine to the Server, it is fast.
Server config:
System: Fedora 12 + Amahi
An older PC, AMD 1 GHz processor
512 MB Ram
1 IDE HDD 120 GB with Fedora 12 + Amahi on it, connected on board
1 SATA HDD 1,5TB connected on a PCI SATA Controller containing all the data and Amahi shares
1 SATA HDD 1,5TB connected on the same PCI SATA Controller used as backup HDD
100MBit Network Card.
Greyhole is not used.
My PC:
System: Windows 7 Ultimate
AMD 3500+ processor
2GB RAM
1 SATA HDD 200GB + 1 SATA HDD 500GB connected on board
1GBit Network Card.
Both are connected on a 100MBit switch.
When i copy a big file, lets say 1GB to a shared drive on the server, i get a transfer rate between 7 and 10 MByte/s, what is a normal rate.
When i copy back the same file, i am on my machine accessing the share, from the server to my machine i get a transfer rate between 300 and 400 kByte/s what is not a normal rate.
What i did not try yet is beeing on the server and copying a file from there to a share on my machine.
Share access is very fast, the folders display very quickly.
So my question is, is there a problem on the server, did i miss something when installing the server? Why do i have a normal rate when copying files to the server and not copying back the file again.$
I have tried some tweaks on my windows 7 machine, i have also disabled my antivirus, but nothing worked.
If someone has an idea or has the same problems.
