Hi,

complete noob to linux and amahi. I just installed this weekend. brand new user :)

I got everything up and running at work because I have a friend who is really good with linux (and I've never touched it).

Everything worked a treat, I unplugged my server, took it home and it fired right up as it should.

But now when I go to amahi.org, log in and go to the control panel and look at "Your HDA". The ip address it shows is the one from work and not the current one from my home. So the dynamic dns isn't working. My HDA also shows as stopped when it is up and running just fine. So how do I update the control panel ip so the dynamic dns entry works?

thanks.

Hi
As I understand it you have two options.

The first is pretty complicated if your new to linux:-
http://forums.amahi.org/viewtopic.php?f ... l&start=10

The second is to create a new HDA is your control panel with the correct info and then from a terminal run:-
hda-new-install -f YOURINSTALLCODE

I'm pretty new to Amahi myself and went through a couple of re-installations, but I learnt more that way.

Someone with more experience may know a better way.
Good luck.
