Wireless Problems

Postby markdagger » Tue Sep 21, 2010 4:17 am

Dear All,

Have been running Amahi for about 6 weeks now without problems, apart from my wife's machine which runs from a PCI Wi-Fi card. All PC's that use CAT5 UTP into my router connect fine and without issue. However, my Wife's PC (on occasion) will not let her navigate to sites that require passwords. For example, Facebook etc. This affects ALL websites which require password logon - even her access to POP mail.

Resetting the HDA seems to sort this for about 24 hrs and then, we go through an ever last loop!

Any assistance glady received!

Thanks,

M

not sure how these two things could be related. seems odd. especially over wifi.

do you have wifi security?

is it possible someone is snooping?

i mean, i can't think of anything else - maybe the snooper also gets an IP from amahi and only after rebooting your HDA he loses it??

this is truly bizarre.

same PC, wired, works?
