Why is my HDA connecting to IP's in other countries?
I just happened to be reviewing the logs on my router and noticed a bunch of outgoing connections from my HDA to strange IPs. I looked them up and they are in Russia, Japan, Greece, etc. Every other computer and devices in the house was off with the exception of my TiVo and there were no services (like BT) running at the time. Any ideas? I haven't but the sniffer on it yet, but I will.

only think i can think of is the yum fastest mirror plugin. it may need to check the speed of various mirrors to check the fastest ones for updates.
check the ips and see if they are mirrors. otherwise put the trace on and see what's up.
the updates happen every hour by default, plus whenever you run updates by hand or graphically, if you do that.
