Network Slowdown

I recently setup an Amahi server, and am mostly pleased with how it's going so far. However, I am currently experiencing a network wide slow down when it comes to browsing the internet. I am getting connection reset and server not found errors. I have it set so that all clients are using both the Amahi DHCP and DNS servers. I have run the interactive network troubleshooter, and it detects no problems. At first I thought that it might be caused by torrent traffic on the Amahi box, but the problem has persisted even with no torrents running. I am at a complete loss as to what to do at this point, so any help is greatly appreciated.

http://wiki.amahi.org/index.php/Changin ... S_provider you might want to try different DNS servers (i.e. your providers' DNS servers).

I am confused by this. Certainly, unless it's a bug, I would not suspect the server, since once the DNS is given, the server is out of the picture completely (and in many cases, the DNS is cached in browsers, so that means the server is not even in the picture), so the timeouts are really browser-to-site connections that go through your gateway, the ISP and the internet.
Perhaps the router is unstable if the DHCP is not on?
(never heard of it, though)

Thanks for your tips guys. However, the problem has actually seemed to fix itself with a simple restart. And, I must say, now that I have almost everything working the way I want it, I am VERY pleased with this server. Having migrated from a FreeNAS server, I have found this much easier to use and enjoy having an actual OS underneath it to work with.
