Amahi Installed, cannot connect from other pc in Network

I've installed Amahi, but the only way to connect to the server is through localhost, not even through IP number etc

What must i do?

I have a number of questions for you.

1) Did you renew the IP's of your clients?

2) did you test the network connectivity through our network troubleshooting page in the wiki?

Yes i renewed them.

But i don't want to use the dhcp server from Amahi, i want to use my routers DHCP.
Now i can get on the amahi main page, by typing the ip number of the amahi-pc.

I installed webmin, but when i click on webmin it doesn't open :-s

Is it possible that when i enter the ip number en then the programs name, for example:

ip-number/webmin
ip-number/sabnzb
etc

because when i open up the server to the internet i don't want somebody to enter my setup page, only i must enter that the rest just has to come to the mainpage en from there only open a http page, or gallery etc

Hello,

There are certain tradeoffs for not using Amahi DHCP for your network. Please see the FAQ at http://www.amahi.org/faq#is-dhcp-server-required.

Is there any reason why you do not want to use Amahi's DHCP server? It is safe and works quite well.

Yeah my reason is that i don't have this pc on 24/7, it's just certain periods that i have it on 24/7.
And i still want to use the rest of my pc's when i'm at home and don't have my amahi server on.

I'm rather a noob on DNS, dhcp etc, but isn't it possible keep everything the same as it is now, only when i turn on the amahi server i can connect through it by typing it's ip number or a name.
I had it before with windows, a apache, mysql server, ftp en download server, wich i could enter by typing its ip number, i came at a home page and from there i could continue by pressing a link, then it opend up the webpage from for example sabnzb, phpmyadmin after i logged in.

Understand. You may have to access all applications manually.

As the FAQ states, you will have to enter the full URL instead of the short one. so if your server domain name is home.com, to access Webmin it would he http://webmin.home.com. The shortcut to each app on the dashboard should resolve to the long URL automatically. Short URL will not work, i.e. http://webmin without the Amahi DHCP and DNS.

If it is still not working, please let us know and we will investigate more.

No i dont have acces to them exept to webmin and thats from the server itself.

But when i enter the ip/webmin or ip/sabnzb it only acces the amahi page.
And if i type on the webmin or sabnzb link (http://webmin or http://sabnzb) i get the error message.

I want, if i type in the ip that it comes to the amahi page.
And from there that i can click on a link that brings me to the programs.

You stated the link from the Amahi dashboard works. The only way to access the apps withought the dashboard is http://webmin.home.com or whatever the domain is for your server. Do not include the IP. Amahi does not work like a typcialy linux server where IP is required in front of the app name.

Sorry if I was not clear, but the IP will only get you to the dashboard. You do not need to include it for the apps. If you try to access apps as indicated above, it should go to the app.

Oeps my mistake, i've tryed everything now.

The only thing that works when, on the amahi server, i type in the ip number with the port from webmin.

On a other pc in my network i can acces the amahi server by typing: http://hda then i get the amahi inlog screen and when i type in my IP number the i get the dashboard :-S

The rest isnt working :-S

It doesn't work wiht markv.com :-S

How and where can you change these things :S
But isnt it totaly not possible that you enter the surver on a main page (through ip or a name) and from there you can click on the links wich opends the prefered application.

after lots of trying, i done a total new install including making a new server at the amahi control panel and after this the network settings are in order and working fine, exept the short name url's, like sabnzb/markv.com etc

I can acces by typing hda or my ip number, but applications i have to type hda or ip with the port number behind it, how can i solve this?
