Failed step 4 need some network advice

Postby superslacker » Sat Sep 11, 2010 9:03 pm

Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4 - DNS resolving for internal hostnames. Here's a paste to help troubleshoot

Current network setup is

comcast modem
linksys dual band wireless router with dhcp reservation for ip addresses
16 port netgear switch

workgroup setup only

i haven't setup a domain because 3 windows pc's in the house are home editions and have no domain settings available

problem 1
network newbe needs some advise on setup of domains and localhost

problem 2 on install
PASTE:
Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost:2000.

Thanks
ss

The issue with installer at localhost:2000 could be some package not installed properly or something. Here is the

Code: Select all

installation troubleshooting
page.

Hello,

If the Firefox issue you mentioned is after you did the install and reboot, ignore it. The browser opens with the last page you accessed and the installer would not longer be running after install.
