Suggested Security Setup

Postby hyena » Wed Aug 18, 2010 4:55 am

Hi,

I'm thinking about trying out Amahi on a rooted dockstar.

I'm only really interested in it as a NAS/slimserver setup, but as a linux/networking newbie wondering what people would suggest as good security practice and i guess only a router shields it from the net

usually the firewall is enabled, Amahi disables this by default I think. Just enable the firewall and set up the rules as you want and you'll be fine.
