WebDAV sharing of folders...

Postby dovad » Fri Feb 05, 2010 11:09 am

I'd like to use WebDAV to create shared folders for such things as OmniFocus on my iPhone and Mac. Is there a tutorial for setting up WebDAV to do such things. I see a lot of posts regarding using WebDAV for calendars but nothing more. I'd really like https support as well if possible.

Thanks...
Dave

the calendar server is really a WebDAV server.

it responds to http://calendar and webdav://calendar ... try it out. it ought to work as a file server, however, not having been exercised as such, you may experience some glitches.

let us know how it goes!

I can't connect with the OS X Finder. I used my hda account and password, then tried root and it's password to no avail.

Any clues?

i just tried this in mac os x, in the finder. From the finder help pages:
To connect to a WebDAV server:

In the Finder, choose Go > “Connect to Server,” type the address of the server in the Server Address field, and click Connect.

The server address should be in a form similar to this:

http://servername.com/path/
i typed http://calendar ... and i saw all the calendars well. i was able to create files, folders, remove them ...

can you ping calendar?

the ip should that of your HDA.
