Hi all,
I've recently reinstalled my Amahi system and took the opportunity to upgrade to Amahi 7 after my Fedora 14 install developed some "interesting" grey hole issues!
Everything seems to be working fine with one exception...the wifi connection on devices which are left online eventually loses internet connectivity.
I have two computers in my office which are always on and connected to wifi. Every now and again, these computers lose their internet connection but are still connected to wifi (warning symbol on the win machine and ! on the mac).
At first I thought it was a DHCP issue, so i extended the lease time. This didn't help, so I allocated a fixed IP address to each machine. They both now connect with this fixed IP but I still get the issue but much less frequently.
Any ideas where to start with this anyone?
Thanks,
J
Possible DHCP issue - WIFI connection dropping
Re: Possible DHCP issue - WIFI connection dropping
Sounds like a router issue.
Keep in mind while the HDA hands out DHCP leases, it's not the wireless provider. The internet connectivity and wireless capability is via your router. Might want to check out the support page for your router or look on the internet.
