You will have to set both DNS entries to the HDA for it to work. Refresh client IP and check to see what it's using for DNS.

Hello Bigfoot65,

Just to be clear.
On my router I have the possibility to enter 3 DNS servers. Before it was completely empty. Since my previous post I have entered in the first DNS server field the IP adres of my HDA being 192.168.0.10
As I told before this did not change anything.
I did not restart the HDA server. Maybe that was the reason why it did not resolve my problem. I will check that tonight when I'm home again.

Client IP's I had refreshed and did not resolve anything.

Are there any DNS entries on the HDA itself that I have to reset? Because that I didn do.

The only thing that should be needed is to refresh the IP on the client. Did you check to see if the client was using the HDA DNS? If it's Windows, do

Code: Select all

ipconfig /all
from the command prompt.

Once you verify this part, there will be a better path forward to resolution.

I believe since you are not using the HDA for DHCP, you will need to enter the fully qualified name to reach apps. For example, http://adminer.home.com or whatever your domain is named.

Have you tried that yet?

OK. When I look at my Control Panel for my Amahi HDA I see different things.

I see a line that says:
Dynamic DNS zion2008.yourhda.com

but also a line that says
Home Domain ldqk.net

(it also says
Status Waiting install
which bothers me because I just can not find out what is not yet installed)

How will the url for the apps then look like?

If you hover over the app, the link should appear. In the case of what your profile shows, I would think it would be http://app.ldqk.net.

As for the pending install in the amahi.org dashboard, recommend you email support. That is something that may require action on their end.

Hello Bigfoot65,
I can access my HDA from any device in my home network via the URL HDA/ when using my HDA as a DNS server.

However the apps are still not accessible. The displayed url is qbittorrent.ldqk.net for the qBittorrent app. However server not found error is what I get when I click it. Also the before mentioned "Waiting install" message on the Control panel is still present.

I've made up my imind and I will start all over again beginning with a clean ubuntu install to erase all possible errors in linux side. Then I will delete the current installation of amahi via the control panel and get a fresh install.

Thanks for all the help and your patience. If this clean install is the answer to all before mentioned problems I will share it with you in this forum.

Regards, zion2008

The error you are receiving for qBittorrent indicates it did not install correctly. A new install of Amahi may not change that issue. Need to check the app install log located in /var/log directory.
