I have two Amahi servers. one is an Intel i5 with 8 GB of ram the other is a Intel dual core with 4 GB of ram. I am running a cat 6 hard wired network through a gigabit switch. I just transferred 4 movies from my WHS 2011 to one of my PC's and averaged 60-80 MB/Sec. When I copy from one Amahi to the other or from my WHS 2011 to an Amahi I average 4-6 MB/Sec with a peak of 10 MB/Sec.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Need some advice
Re: Need some advice
Could be many things, a bad cable or network card. I have heard where these have greatly reduced transfer rates and simply replacing them corrects the problem.
It seems like this would not be the case since you have good rates with the client transfer. So maybe it's a samba issue. There are posts and guidance all over the internet about tweaking those settings to improve performance.
