DNS has stopped working?
I have had Amahi working and then loaded Webmin and now the DNS server has stopped and will not restart. Tried a reboot and from the setup screen. How can I restart the DNS?
Re: DNS has stopped working?
You can restart if from the Dashboard. Go to the Settings Tab and look for a Servers link. It is listed there.
Did you make any changed using Webmin after you installed it? It is a tool for advanced users, which I presume you are not since you don't know how to restart the DNS Server. I don't recommend you use it. You can really hose your HDA if you are not careful.
If the Dashboard restart does not work, let us know and we will have to look more in depth. You also might try the network troubleshooter. This will help narrow down the issue.

Thanks for the response
I made no changes when I uploaded Webmin.
The dashboard restart has no effect, nor does a reboot.

Did you run the network troubleshooter? We need more info to help diagnose the problem.

I have done the troubleshooting
Using the Network Troubleshooter, I failed step 4 - DNS resolving for internal hostnames. Here's a paste to help troubleshoot: http://pastebin.com/CkD55WR8

The link is bad. Ensure the DHCP/DNS server is disabled on your router and enabled on the HDA. You might also try running Fedora updates as sometimes there are security patches that fix these types of issues.

Yes the link is bad. I attempt to turn on the DNS server and the DHCP server from the dashboard ( I do know how to do that) and it does not start working I turned the computer off and on and it does not start.
I have no internet connection so I can run updates.

Re: DNS has stopped working?
The fact you have no internet connection is the source of your issues. Have you tried restarting you network? If you cannot get connectivity, you might be best to reinstall.
Not saying we cannot figure this out, but it may take considerable time to determine the lack of connectivity. It appears your HDA is not getting a DHCP lease from the router. It should get one automatically which a complete network shutdown and power up might correct.
Also, ensure your IP addresses you included in the HDA profile on the web site when you registered are correct. If the gateway does not match your router, you will have problems.
