Hi,
I've followed the install process and as suggested, turned off DHCP as my router provides this. However, during the install process it setup up eth0 as 192.168.1.10 with primary DNS as the same. This seemed to work during the install as it downloaded the Amahi packages (so something was working). Now however I can't do anything.
Looking at System/Admin/Network and then the device eth0, I see that it has a statis ip address as mentioned above. I need to change this as it's another device on my network (another wireless router). I also need to change the Pri/Sec DNS. When I change these via the menus previously mentioned, I can get to the hda screen via the new ip (x.115) but still can't get out to the web.
A reboot (as suggested when changing the network device) just puts 'EVERYTHING' back to how it was...i.e. x.10
Help...this is driving me nuts!
Regards,
Dz
New to Amahi - little help please with changing IP address
Re: New to Amahi - little help please with changing IP addre
This is based on what you set in your Amahi profile when creating your HDA. Not sure if this can be changed manually. You could try changing it in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 file and see if that sticks.
Last time I remember this coming up with a user, they had to reinstall. I may have missed an easier solution, so recommend you search the forums and wiki for further assistance.
