Loose internet/network connection on other computers

I have set up my HDA and have the DHCP on. as instructed i turned off the DHCP on my router (dlink 655). However, i find that if my HDA sleep, powers off, or even after a long while, i loose internet connection (even connection to my router) from any other computer on my network. Basically i have to gain access to my router to turn the dhcp back on to get it to work.

However, when i do that i cannot access the apps in the HDA from the other computers on the network.
HELP!..

That's why most of us keep our hda's running 24/7.
