UPnP/DLNA server in beta - please test!

Hi! we have put the Amahi DLNA server (I know, very imaginative name we've ended up with), which is a port of the great MiniDLNA to Amahi, in beta.

The source code is at the git repo.

We'd like you to test it with as many clients as possible. So far for me, it works with the (excellent, imho) WD TV Live.

Please report:

- does it work with uShare simultaneously running?
- does it work with XBOX360?
- does it work well with XBMC?
- does it work well with Windows Media Center?
- does it work well with Windows Media Player?

I cannot get any upnp device to recognize in my house

It does not work for me

I could not get Windows Media Center to recognize it on Vista Home Premium 32bit or XP PRO 32 Bit

- does it work well with Windows Media Player?

Media Player also did not recognize.

i also tried now with windows media server and it does see the server.

however, it sees some music in the server, and it plays it. however, only a very small part of the music shows up.

it does not see videos or pictures at all.

should give you more info, it should at least find the package.

i only had the RPMs in my local copy of the repo, not the live ones!!

please uninstall and install again. you should get the app working now!

First let me start by saying that I only have a xbox360 for the media player for my tv and media center on 2 windows 7 machines

- does it work with uShare simultaneously running?

Yes they both install just fine together

- does it work with XBOX360?

ushare - works (i only do movies and comment out the pics and music because of the way it sorts)
amahi-dlna - only music works

- does it work well with XBMC

?
Don't use XBMC

- does it work well with Windows Media Center?

media center sees HDA but does not see anything else (HDA - no shared folders)

- does it work well with Windows Media Player?

sees ushare and all media
amahi-dlna see only music

OK. I will take the blame on this one too!

I failed to mention that the rpmfusion apps are needed for this one to work!

I am not sure if *both* rpmfusion apps are needed or just one. That would be useful to know (my HDA is tainted ...)

Also, I should mention that it has some Tivo support. You can configure things here:
