have you tried disabling that?

so to recap:

1. you can log onto the HOME domain using a user configured on the hda?
2. you can access a share on the hda by \\hda\<sharename> ?
3. you have to manually execute the logon script defined in the samba config and it runs without issue?

Disabled the security software but the problem remains.

1 When i log onto the home domain i'll get the following messages:

Code: Select all

Welcome to the home domain.
followed by:

Code: Select all

Changing the Primary Domain DNS name of this computer to "" failed The name will remain "HOME". The error was: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.
I logon as root descriped in PDC (wiki)

2 yes i can access my shares \\hda\books

3 I have to execute the logon script in \\hda\netlogon\logon.bat. It runs ok.

btw sorry for the slow responses at moment a little bit busy at work.

that looks fine then. save a file onto your desktop and logout. login from another pc and you should have the file on your desktop.
now sure why the logon script is not running.

I managed to get a roaming profile to work, but only with the root user. Is it possible for this to work with a non-root user? thanks in advance
