Ok I'm sure that I am doing this wrong but the following:

GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* to 'amahihda'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'AmahiHDARulez' WITH GRANT OPTION;

I am logged in as root and using putty externally.

what am I doing wrong?

this is not a shell command. it's a mysql command. open mysql first and enter it in the mysql> prompt:

bash$ mysql -u root -phda mysql>

i have an issue when i updated to 12 /5.0... i have no servers.. the two that i have listed are the ones i installed.. and they don't do anything such as restart the service or refresh please see the following attached picture any suggestions?

ok that worked, but now I have this error:

Application error The application has found an error. You will br forwarded shortly.

but after rebooting the machine it works.
