This has been a long standing request for contributors!
Now you have the ability to share applications with others even in alpha or beta.
For the applications you own, you will see a field called Collaborators, where you can put the username of exactly one user (no spaces or anything) who can then have access to the app. (We can see if just one collaborator works for now. Later we can work to add a list, if it's needed.)
He/she will be able to see it in their HDA and install it and uninstall it, just like you (except changing the collaborators).
In addition, if this is another contributor you are sharing with, he/she will be able to edit the app as well. In this case, keep in mind that you may overwrite each others' changes if you open the app editor simultaneously and write changes near the same time.
To err in the side of caution, if you share it with a regular (non contributor) user, please keep in mind to clearly point out that the app is in testing and it could potentially misbehave and even cause harm, rare as this may be. Needless to say, please use with care.
