Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
OK, these are immediate subnavigations (except the first has a slight delay on exit).
With today's fix we have a rather long delay and a proper subnavigation default.
We're tracking it in bug 1028.

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
Just tested the latest release. I like the feel better of the sub tabs. While the delay is a bit longer, it seems to work well. I like it better than the previous release
What about adding a setting to allow users to change the speed of sub tabs? I figure it might be a bit much to ask, but that is one way to appease everyone Have a default value like it is now and then allow customization for those who want quicker or slower response. Just a thought.

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
great. thanks for the feedback.
that delay is in CSS so it's really not easily programmable. let's see if people like it or not and adjust accordingly.

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
It's not clear as to which menu item is indicating the submenus... please, just maybe shade them darker for the selected heading or something.
Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
Sorry, what is not clear?
It's always the current tab's submenus there, until you hover over other tabs. About one second after you hover over some other tab, the submenus of that tab show up.
Does that help?

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
Not sure why but I'm getting a plethora of "could not resolve host" when I do a yum update.
I can ping internet sites, but yum updates can't resolve anything.
What has changed with network?

Can you ping the right places?
(make sure it's not opendns resolving everything)
Nothing much was changed in the networking structure per se, but we did fix some bugs on enabling/disabling the dns/dhcp server we use now.

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
Hello,
We just did a release of Amahi 7 with some fixes, notably some UI fixes (subnavigation), some app install issues (apps should install now, however the UI will not respond -- just click on the install button ONCE only and check the /var/log/amahi-app-installer.log). There is also a new dependency - pmount, which has been added.
This should not require reinstall, just update, except I am not sure if the update is automatic when introducing a new dependency (pmount). These are the packages
Thanks to mattman for the bug reports and the general testing!

Re: Amahi 7 beta 2 release!
We found a bug where the normal hda-update process does not seem to be running, so the Amahi packages (and their dependencies) do not update.
I do wonder if this happened on this machine (which was more "minimal" than usual), or it happens to you guys.
The evidence is in the presence of a file /var/log/hda-updates.log
If it's there, there is no issue. Do you have that file?
