thanks for the paste. this is the error that seems to be starting the cascade of issues:

Code: Select all

file /etc/issue from install of fedora-release-18-1.noarch conflicts with file from package raspberrypi-release-18-7.rpfr18.noarch
this is a new one.

possible workaround: maybe remove (with --force and/or --nodeps if needed) the fedora-release-18-1 package and then install (forcing) raspberrypi-release-18-7.rpfr18.noarch and continue with the install?

that may help get things going?
I am having the same problem as aarondyck:

http://paste.fedoraproject.org/9585/39265136

I tried to remove "fedora-release-18-1.noarch" but it doesn't look like it is installed:

Code: Select all

# yum list \*release\* Installed Packages hda-release.noarch 6.9.0-1 installed raspberrypi-release.noarch 18-7.rpfr18 @rasp-pi raspberrypi-release-notes.noarch 0.2-2.rpfr18 @rasp-pi Available Packages fedora-release.noarch 18-1 fedora fedora-release-notes.noarch 18.0.0-5.fc18 updates fedora-release-rawhide.noarch 18-1 fedora generic-release.noarch 18-1 fedora generic-release-notes.noarch 18-1 fedora generic-release-rawhide.noarch 18-1 fedora isorelax.noarch 1:0-0.10.release20050331.fc18 fedora isorelax-javadoc.noarch 1:0-0.10.release20050331.fc18 fedora maven-release.noarch 2.2.1-4.fc18 fedora maven-release-javadoc.noarch 2.2.1-4.fc18 fedora maven-release-manager.noarch 2.2.1-4.fc18 fedora maven-release-plugin.noarch 2.2.1-4.fc18 fedora perl-CPAN-Perl-Releases.noarch 0.94-1.fc18 updates ros-release.noarch 5.0-1.fc18 updates

Other thoughts about workarounds?

Thanks!

Hi
I have just install on my Raspberry F18 remix but I hda a problem with the 'hda-install' script that being it would not work until I changed the https to http (thanks to cpg for the headsup on this).

after I changed the 'hda-install' file that is located here /usr/bin/. Then the install started to work it is still installing so will update if I get any more errors.

Somehow the raspberry pi release rpm is conflicting with the fedora one (they did not list it as being overriding). One possible work-around for this on the pi is:

Code: Select all

rpm --nodeps --force -Uvh http://mirrors.servercentral.net/fedora/releases/18/Fedora/i386/os/Packages/f/fedora-release-18-1.noarch.rpm
which, from the IRC conversation, seems to cause things to make forward progress.

The suggestion helped but didn't seem to fix it completely:

Thanks for the help!

Hmm, yes, same issue. Thanks for the paste link.

This one looks like a missing library -- basically some package present in the original machine where we built the packages but missing on the test machines. This needs a little more research. More soon ...

Hello,

we updated the repo with a new tweaked version of the hda-platform, hda-platform-6.2.7-2.

unfortunately, upon a quick test, it appears that it does not seem to work, the error is still

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/ruby: symbol lookup error: /var/hda/platform/html/vendor/bundle/ruby/1.9.1/gems/therubyracer-0.11.4/lib/v8/init.so: undefined symbol: _ZN2v82V821AddGCPrologueCallbackEPFvNS_6GCTypeENS_15GCCallbackFlagsEES1_
and we do not know yet how to fix this issue.

thanks to @mattman and @dano5 for providing test RaspPi's to develop/test.

if you guys have some ideas, please share.

unfortunately, re-compiling everything takes a couple of hours unless it's a newer RaspPi ... which limits our availability to work on this :(

we need to focus on releasing amahi 7 ... so ARM support is currently not a huge priority ... :(

Hi, we updated the repo for ARM yesterday with a clean recompile, but it seems that it's unlikely it will help with this issue.

As much as I thank you for testing on the Rasp Pi, I would like to turn our attention to the x86 release, as we're late and issues keep on cropping up.

More testing on the x86 world will be welcome!

Hi
Just install the latest release of Amahi 7 on a virtual machine and I found one bug might be already fixed but if you scroll over a top tab I.E Disks you can see 'Details' 'Partitions' on the tab under but if you scroll over other labelled tabs the second wording like Partitions will change like if you scroll over settings then 'Partitions' will change to 'Settings' and you can click that and it will take you to servers list, not a big problem but it at time can be hard to select the right tab.

I'm still testing and will update when I find any more bugs.

Thanks for the feedback.

This was actually done to help navigation. In the past, the subtabs would not show unless one was already on a tab. So people wanted to be able to hover over a tab and see the subtabs, so that they can get the mouse to them to select them.

Should we nix this and reimplement what we had before?

Personally I kinda like it. Maybe we need to poll the community on this one.
