Changing user password

Postby rgmhtt » Thu Oct 21, 2010 8:36 am

This may only apply to PDC mode, but...

Does <cntl-alt-del> change password work? In the Samba mailing list I see a discussion about specifying:

sambaPwdCanChange=1

If you are using OpenLDAP. I don't think we are using OpenLDAP, are we????

Oh, I did not find anything in the Wiki or in any forum posting about user password changing....

No, we're not using LDAP.

The only way to change password right now in a way that it gets propagated is through the web interface ... in Setup > Users.

Well my wife will not like this. So I will put in the smb.conf lines and test it with her account!
