How was domain name created?

Postby rgmhtt » Wed Oct 20, 2010 2:12 pm

How was the domain name created during the amani install?

I am thinking it was taken in part from the hostname I gave the system at install time. The hostname I used is homebase.htt-consult.com

the domain is

home.htt

So I am thinking the parsing did not go well. As I mentioned elsewhere, I changed the value in the settings table, but then at least phpmyadmin no longer worked.

We have a script to change the DNS forwarders, what would it take to get a script to change the domain in all the places needed?

How would I do that???

Minimally I would have to search through all the Amahi base code for places where the domain value is retrieved (either from SQL or one of the many FC files that have it) and then put it to use eleswhere.

One area I suspect is how Virtual web serving works. After an app is installed, it is accessable as app.domain, how is this controled?
