Redo

Postby jeffmb45 » Sun Mar 24, 2013 12:46 pm

Hi all,
I just made the switch to Amahi from WHS2011. Been messing around with Amahi
for a few years, but just decided to make Amahi may primary home server.
I have one Win7 pc left in my house that is my gaming rig, other pc's used are
mac mini, Mint, Chromebook. The Time machine app really made it a easy
decision to switch.
So far I'm loving Amahi / Ubuntu edition. My thanks to all involved with the
project.

Have a question on backing up my Win7 pc using ReDo. Says it will find network
shares, but no matter what I do I don't seen any of the samba shares on the HDA.
I'm missing something here but not sure what. My smb shares work great every
where else including my Boxee Box

Regards
Jeff Bennett

Could be something in Redo is not set up correctly to see the HDA shares. Have you tried Clonezilla Live CD? It works well and there is some guidance in the wiki for backing up to the HDA.
