CHKDSK in AMAHI

Postby grumpygamer » Sat Feb 19, 2011 4:18 am

Hello there,
I am posting once again to ask another question: sometimes we have too many appliances turned on and power goes out.
Unavoidably all the hdds - including the operating system one - turn off unexpectedly generating some errors in the indexes (NTFS).
Having windows I just run CHKDSK to correct these errors, but how do I do so in AMAHI? Do I have to detach every drive and plug it in a Windows OS to correct the errors?
Thanks
- gg

FSCK would be the way to go.
Or you could try TestDisk which runs in Win or Linux
Amahi Server
Tyan S3022 : Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz
3Ghz DDR2
80Gb OS : 3 x 200Gb Storage : 1.5Tb NAS running Snake OS
