I'm loving my HDA!

But I can't find PBA or how to install it for the life of me?!?!

How do I find it/access PBA?

Here is my version info:

Code: Select all

Platform: 5.1-1 Core: 3.1-4
I don't have it when I sign in to \\HDA... Just the webapps I have installed:

webvnc
ampache
ajaxplorer

Also doesn't show up in the apps tab or in the installed apps or servers.

Needless to say - \\PBA from a browser doesn't get me very far either...

What's next? Or am I just looking in the wrong place?

When Trying to access from IE8 This error returns:
Windows cannot find "pba"
Windows sent the request to the DNS and the server responded that the name was unknown.

the PBA user interface is not working at the moment, however, you may be able to install the program by hand like this:

Code: Select all

yum -y install amahi-netboot rpm -Uvh http://f10.amahi.org/i386/hda-app-pba-base-0.1-1.i386.rpm
not sure if it will work, however. please report back, as a number of people are interested on this until we fix it for good.

Tried mentioned commands....

Both installed something - Currently rebooting to see if that will show me more...

Didn't Work...

The above commands from the terminal definitely installed 3-5 packages...

However "//pba" still leads me to the phillipine basketball association.

More Ideas? I'll take them

lol - yeah, to test it you have to network-boot your device.

the user interface is not working at the moment. the rest of the functionality (doing backups and restores) should be.

Okay - I'll try it... Most of my computers are wireless so I have get to my basement to get to the wired one to try it.

Where will I find the Backup?

Also - is there a way to interface with PBA through the terminal?

I am also trying to get PBA to backup my vista machine. after running the commands to install the service and net booting my vista desktop it picks up the hda and starts to boot the PBA but hangs on loading at.
