can I backup the pc's on my network and them pool the server

From what Ive read its not recomended to backup pc's on the network to a pooled drive.

One of my main intentions with Amahi is to do such pc backups.

Concerning the server and preserving the data therein, Ive though to use either raid 10 or greyhole.

Can the two be done as I wanted? or should they be done?
