SOLVED: File transfer bug

Postby CobaltPhoenix » Tue Oct 22, 2013 9:58 pm

While transferring ~74GB of files (Music collection, media, etc.), the file transfer stalled out after about 35GB transferred, and when I tried to log into my dashboard to see if there was a setting that might be limiting size I ran into an error saying:
The Dashboard has encountered an exception!

Woopsie. Sorry about that!

It could be due to a bug, or very low memory, or very low disk in the root (/) partition.

If your disk or memory are not critical, it's likely a bug.

If this persists, please file a bug report with as much detail as you can.

You will be redirected to a debug page with more information shortly.
When it tries to redirect to the debug page, I get this:
Application error

Rails application failed to start properly
Now that's the only error I am getting. I am rebooting the server, and will see if that fixes it. I wanted to report the bug, mainly.

If this is indeed still a problem, please file a bug in the issue tracker, not here.
https://bugs.amahi.org

We have not had any previously identified issues with this in the past, so could be a local issue. Either way, please let us know.

It happened after installing installing a few apps. My dashboard is unaccessible now. It seems to have crashed or corrupted. A full reinstall is going to be needed.

I tried reporting a bug on bugs.amahi.org, but was unable to find an option to do so. A bug with the bug reporting?

It's not very intuitive. Once logged in choose projects. Then select platform and there should be a new issue option.

Also might check free disk space on your OS drive. Are you using Greyhole? This situation is often caused by lack of sufficient free space.

I haven't installed Greyhole yet. I only have one disk. 300GB capacity, and it's nowhere near filled. I wiped the disk during install. I'm probably going to have to reinstall Amahi now. I've had nothing but issues with 7 so far. I am getting the feeling it's something I'm doing wrong... Lol.

Probably a good idea. Ensure you follow instructions at https://docs.amahi.org.
