Did you follow the migration guidance I provided? If so, the number of copies should have been fine. Also not sure setting it greater than previously would have caused any issues unless you added copies to a drive that did not have capacity to hold them.

You need to check /var/log/greyhole.log to see if there are any errors. Also if you do the following, it might help as well.

Code: Select all

systemctl status amahi-greyhole
Until I can see what the log files mention, hard to say what the issue might be with Greyhole not starting.

Please only post the relevant part of the log or attach it as a file.

If a drive ran out of space, you might need to manually delete some files to get it working again. Sounds potentially like use error.

Thanks, sorry not getting back but I am not getting emails when you post a reply to this topic. Any way I have gotten it all worked out, grehole seems to be worked out and balanced across 3 drives, all my files seem to be there and I even got vnc up and running. Now I am moving on to putting plex media server in place. My windows media center client and xbc clients are all working but I am getting a fire tv box this week and best solution seems to be Plex. I know this is not the correct thread and I have seen the ones reagrding plex but I can not find any answer as to why would I really need to pay the 9.99 for the amahi plex if I can install and manage plex from core fedora 19?

Thanks for all your responses so far

You can choose to install manually, but we will not be able to provide support. There may be some guidance in the wiki to help.

No problem. That is our goal, make it easy to install and configure with little action needed by the user.

Should we consider this closed?

Yes I do remember. We prefer keeping the topic to a single issue so solutions are easily searchable.
