I am also on Ubuntu LTS. As others have said, I am little apprehensive about having to update my home server too frequently because of highly dynamic base OS like Fedora.

Any chance of CentOS 7 being offered as an alternative?

I will not move to fedora either, I tried it but some of the apps I paid for had not been ported... I could just install them manually but its nice to not have to do that... Why not choose something like Debian for Amahi?

Understand.

What apps are you looking for that are not available in Amahi 7? Maybe you could help us get them LIVE.

Disconnect your Greyhole drives. Format the OS disk and reinstall Ubuntu. Personally I would recommend you use Amahi 7, Fedora 19 as it's the latest stable release.

We no longer provide additional functionality, new apps, or updates to Ubuntu. It's in "Maintenance Support" mode.

Thanks I will do that, any easy way to re-connect the greyhole drives. They still have all the files on them but what is best way after I re-install Amahi?

Thanks, Fedora installed, Amahi Installed, greyhole UI installed and fstab and greyhole.conf setting restored. One question tho, trying to figure out which directory in the UI I should point the share location to so it picks up existing files. My 3 partitions are pooled and the copies are set but do I leave the location under shares/settings alone and will all files be picked up after the fsck finishes?

The shares need to match what you originally had with Amahi 6 on Ubuntu. If they match exactly, then you should see the files reappear.

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I had it working with the same locations but something happened. I think I set the copy count too high and on of my drives ran out of space and now in Amahi console Greyhole UI server does not start. I have turned off sharing pools for now and can get to some of my files via shares but others do not come up and are not found. I can find them in various directories tho. This would be so much easier if I could get vnc to work so I didn't have to stand in the closet ;-)

Any advice on troubleshooting greyhole starting? Can I start it over somehow if I can get all my files in one location? I did pay for the app which should give me support?
