Hey Guys,
I have installed unbuntu, installed Amahi with the terminal and got the notion to reboot my machine "reboot to start with Amahi". But after i reboot i see no icons to start Amahi, and when i look for the program i can't find it anywhere.
I have tried to redo my install proces but i get he notion:
"HDA apears to be installed already"
What am i doing wrong? guys any clue?

Amahi is not a program you start. You access it's functionality via a web browser. It can be found at http://hda.
Recommend you review the web site gallery and tour links.
http://www.amahi.org
There is also more info on http://docs.amahi.org and in the wiki https://wiki.amahi.org.
Just as a word of caution, Amahi on Ubuntu is in maintenance mode. That means no new apps, updates, or features will be added. Recommend you consider installing the offical stable version, Amahi 7.

Thnx for the reply so fast!
I have typed it in via firefox but it sends me to hda.com.
I have to admit i am a big noob with this stuff, and this seemed the easiest way to instal this.
Can the stable version be installed by a noob like me? and where would i start?

Did you follow the instructions at http://docs.amahi.org?
Try accessing the dashboard by IP address. It appears that you may have not turned off DHCP on your router.

Re: Problem launching Amahi after install and reboot
Not sure I follow what you mean by not having any internet.
As for pros and cons, Amahi 7 offers new features, latest applications, and the currently official stable release. It's our primary version, so fully supported. Ubuntu has limited support and will not receive any new features, apps, or app updates.
While Amahi 7 is headless, you can add desktop capability via VNC. Depends on what you are looking to do with your server. Being a newbie as we say, you will learn most by just playing around, reading on the internet and Amahi wiki.
