Re: Confused....
Apps that are free can be installed via your HDA dashboard at http://hda. Apps with a convenience fee require that you log into amahi.org and purchase them. Once you do, refresh your apps list in the HDA dashboard and they should appear.
We anticipate some day that all app installs will be done from the web site. For now, most of your work will be done via the local HDA dashboard.

Re: Confused....
Yes that is correct. There are no download links for apps. All are installed via http://hda apps tab.
As I mentioned in the previous post you have to log into amahi.org and find the app you want ifit is not showing in your dashboard. You will then need to purchase it which in turn flips a flag so it displays as an app for install in your HDA dashboard.
Does that make sense? It is a simple process once you understand how it works.

Re: Confused....
Yes, that is pretty much it. The apps you purchase are not free, they have a convenience fee associated with them. Many apps are free, but the more complicated ones to maintain and configure have the fee to help offset the cost of maintaining Amahi. Free apps are already displayed in your HDA dashboard for install. It's just the pay apps that are not until you purchase them.

Amahi is an all volunteer maintained and supported OS add on. We are a small team of folks who work full time mostly and do this in our spare time. Funding is based on donations and the convenience fee apps to maintain the entire infrastructure.
